Yep, that’s an apron. Doesn’t it look like a lovely French sun dress or something? GAWGEOUS!! It’s only $17!! There are several other vintage inspired beauties around the same price on Totsy today. Most of them have matching oven mitts. Think this would cure my disdain for being in the kitchen?

There are lots of printable coupons available right now for cereal! With school starting back this month, there will be a bit of a dip in the sale cycle for these types of foods. So, print two of these per computer to use on those sales:

First of all, YES, you can make money. NO, you won’t get rich, but it can be a decent additional income for your family and is definitely worth your time if you do it correctly. Here is a step-by-step system that I personally use to manage this part of my family’s income:

1. Set up a survey only email address (i.e. kimberlyopinion@hotmail.com)
2. Sign up for survey companies using this email address and the same password so it is easy to remember.
3. If you don’t want to give out your phone number, which some companies require, sign up for a free Google Voice number.
4. Spend a few hours before you start taking your surveys to fill out all of your profiles on the survey sites. This will save you LOTS of time! The first few questions of a survey are qualifying questions to see if they are looking for participants in your demographic (age, race, location, etc.). Filling out these profiles will help the survey company better filter the surveys they send you so that you don’t waste time starting a survey that you won’t qualify for.
5. Spend about 5 minutes each day (I do this in the morning) scanning through your email and deleting the surveys you don’t feel are worth your time.
6. Spend thirty minutes to one hour taking surveys. Start with the ones that will earn you the most dollars/points and/or the ones that will take the least amount of time.
7. Whatever of the remaining surveys you are unable to complete in your allotted time, move them to a “Later” folder in your email account. If when you log in to your email, there aren’t many survey offers that interest you that day, go into your “Later” folder and work on those.

Like I said, you will not get rich, but you can make a little extra money, and I think it’s pretty fun! It’s better than an hour spent watching TV or harvesting your virtual farm.

Weekly Meal Plan

Now that the holidays are over and things are sort of back to normal (I’m still finding ornament glitter EVERYWHERE), I am getting back in my meal planning routine.

I have made a resolution this year to eat meatless meals at least 50% of the time. It’ll be a challenge for this Mississippi girl that was raised on bacon, casseroles and fried chicken, but I know I can do it. Vegetarian is not only healthy and figure friendly, it’s also budget friendly to limit your meat eating.

Thanks to my new best virtual friend, Pinterest, I have some really yummy meals planned this week! I’m excited to be mixing it up a bit. I was really getting tired of eating my usual cooking.

Breakfasts:

Cereal and Milk, Fresh Fruit
Pancakes, Turkey Bacon, Yogurt and Fruit
Smoothies and Toast x 2
Spinach Eggs and Toast x3

Lunches:

Nachos with chili TVP and Salsa x 2
PB&J and Veggies x 2
Grilled Chicken Salad x 3

Dinners:

Roast, Potatoes and Carrots with a Green Salad
Spinach and Mushroom Stuffed Shells and Green Salad
Cabbage Soup and Garlic Toast
Sweet Corn, Bacon and Potato Soup and Green Salad
Bubble Up Pizza and Green Salad
Veggie Quiche and Green Salad
Leftovers or Subway

Snacks:

Cereal bars, Guacamole and veggies, yogurt and fresh fruit
